China announced a major adjustment to its export tax rebate policy, effective December 1, affecting multiple industries including photovoltaic products.
A joint statement issued by the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation showed that the export tax rebate rate for battery products, as well as solar panels and certain non-metallic mineral products, will be reduced from 13% to 9%.
The adjustment is part of a wider reform that also includes the elimination of export tax rebates for aluminum, copper and certain oils and fats.
