As lithium battery prices decline, more and more small factories, schools, and supermarkets are choosing to replace diesel generators with small-scale photovoltaic and commercial energy storage systems. This is primarily driven by economic factors, as well as environmental considerations.

Greensun defines small-scale commercial energy storage as 100kWH-2MWH, using air-cooled batteries. Compared to liquid cooling, air cooling offers greater ease of maintenance and installation.
